Kendo is a really physiological athletic activity and and its practicioners need oodles of overprotective equiptment. The paraphernalia include the kendo bogu (armor), the kendo homogenous (ratty under the bogu; consists of a hakama and G. I. ), and the kendo pin/blade (too known as a shinai. The bogu is comprised of the men (helment), kote (weapon bodyguard), do (chest defender), and tare (groin defender. Kendo, Kumdo, Kenjutsu, kendo bogu The kendo shinai must be decently maintained or it will present a risk to both you and your opposition. The shinai must be checked for splinters and oiled regularly. This helps stop the shinai from breaking and sending razor like shrapnel into you and your opponents faces.
