The 2012 NCAA Final Four Tournament will take place from March 31 to April 2 in New Orleans this year. This national basketball event is very popular, with Final Four tickets selling out quickly no matter which teams make it to the tournament.
This year, the 2012 Final Four will be held at Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. In recent months, the city has won bids for the 2013 Super Bowl, the 2012 Men's Final Four, and the 2013 Women's Final Four. Meanwhile, the Allstate Sugar Bowl announced the return of the BCS Championship Game in 2012. Since opening in 1975, the Superdome has been the site of six Super Bowls (the city has hosted a total of nine), four Final Fours and two BCS Championships.
The drama and excitement of March Madness last year in March when the first and second round sessions of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championships were played in the New Orleans Arena, adjacent to the Superdome. The games were played Thursday, Mar. 18 & Saturday, Mar. 20, 2010.

Even with a near depression-like economy in New Orleans and across the entire country, there is still an enormous interest in the 2012 Final Four Tournament and getting tickets to the event. Basketball isn't the most popular sport by any means and the Final Four pales in comparison with the Super Bowl, yet those tickets are still in high enough demand.
For those that aren't familiar with the events leading up to the Final Four game, most of the weekend's basketball events will be available free to the public. These activities will include the college all-star game, various Louisiana community events, the fan experience at the Superdome, an assortment of youth activities and open basketball practices and music concerts. And thanks to the new seating configuration, thousands of students will get tickets to sit courtside for only less money than previous years!
