On November 11, 2003, Ron made his solo comedy cd debut and released “Drunk in Public” which is distributed by Universal Music. “Drunk In Public,” showcases the insightful and hilarious White, who manages to be both razor sharp and blunt. The comedy cd has been in the top four on the Billboard Comedy Charts since February of 2004, and has sold over 300,000 copies.
Ron’s hour long comedy special “They Call Me Tater Salad,” aired on Comedy Central June 27, 2004 and helped give the network its highest rated Sunday in their history attracting over 3.3 million viewers. The DVD was released on June 29, 2004 and has sold over 500,000 copies.
Ron appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman” in October 2002 and appeared as part of Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” that same year. In May of 2003 he had his own half-hour stand up special for Comedy Central Presents.
Ron appeared at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in 2001 and was voted “Best Act of the Friday Night Gala” by Anne Sutherland; he also scored “Best Joke” and “Artistic Impression” by Bill Brownstein, both of “The Gazette”.
Having earned rave reviews in Montreal in 2001 Ron returned for the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in 2002. The Hollywood Reporter noted Ron earned “strong reviews” for his performances in the “Masters Show” and “Nasty Show” where he was featured with the likes of Robert Schimmel and Dave Attell. Ron also appeared at the 2002 Chicago Comedy Festival.
