This musical won 6 Tony Awards in 1998, including Best Musical. This year also marks the first time it will be performed in Washington, D.C., so if you are in the D.C. area, make sure you catch the performance at the Kennedy Center. The performance features music by Elton John and Tim Rice, including the songs "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life."
