Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid

Mr. Reid is a very successful head coach and will be written into NFL history. Andy Reid put his own style of coaching and amazed his city of Philadelphia. Philly loves its football team. Reid took over a 3-13 nfl team on January 11, 1999. He has shown some serious football coaching skill getting his team turned around and playing some good ball.

Reid has earned NFL coach of the year honors twice. At only 50 years old, the Eagles coach has many years left to coach his team. He compiled the best win total of 107, the best winning percentage .611, and top playoff wins of 10 in the Philadelphia Eagles team history. He has also headed his players to five division titles and five trips to the NFC Championship game.

In 2008, Reid became the 37th head coach to reach the 100-win status with the Ealges 27-14 victory over the Falcons in October. Then he became the 22nd coach to win 100 games with one franchise. On top of that, Reid became the 17th coach to reach the century mark in wins during his first season as a head NFL coach.

Among coaches with 100 games under their belt, Reid's winning percentage is 2nd among coaches active in the league. Bill Belichick holds the top spot for that honor.

Reid's ten-year tenure at the Eagles helm has put him in an elite category as well. He is the 18th coach in NFL history to remain with this original team for 10-or-more years, and since 1990, is one of five of the 78 first-time head coaches to do so: Reid (since 1999), Tennessee's Jeff Fisher (since 1994), Brian Billick (1999-2007 with Balitmore), Bill Cowher (1992-2006 with Pittsburgh), and Dennis Green (1992-2001 with Minnesota).
