Richmond International Speedway in Richmond, Virginia is probably the oldest raceway in NASCAR history, getting its start before NASCAR was sanctioned. In the 1940’s, it was a half mile dirt track that was later paved in 1968. It is now a .75 mile, short, D-shaped oval auto track that seats 107,097 people.
